Vacancy: Community Development Worker

Warwickshire Community and Voluntary Action (CAVA) is recruiting for a Community Development Worker.

 

Salary: £26,470 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week (Flexible working hours)
Closing date: Tuesday, 3rd May 2022 at 9.00am
Interviews: Week commencing Monday, 16th May 2022

Fixed term post for 18 months with potential for extension Do you enjoy engaging with people and making a difference at a community level?

CAVA is seeking a Community Development Worker to work with residents and stakeholders in the Clopton and Bishopton communities of Stratford upon Avon, to connect and strengthen both communities and reduce social exclusion.

By listening to local people and mapping community assets, the post holder will help the local communities identify what their residents want and support them in creating new initiatives. The aim is to improve links between services, local groups, new initiatives and the community, and to enable increased community activity.

This is an 18-month pilot with a view to the Community Development Worker demonstrating the need for additional funding to extend the duration of the role.

We are looking to appoint a skilled relationship builder to connect, coordinate and support new initiatives. Experience of managing projects and measuring their impact would be useful.

Some remote working may be possible. Some weekend and evening work will be required.
