Vacancies: Trustees Needed!

Do you live or work in Warwickshire or Solihull? Are you an experienced Trustee or want to take your first step at Board level? Then we want to hear from you!

We are looking to recruit additional Trustees, including a Treasurer, to join the Board of Warwickshire Community and Voluntary Action (CAVA).

About Us
CAVA provides support to local voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations in Warwickshire and Solihull as well as championing issues that are important to them.

This is an exciting time to join the Board of Trustees of CAVA. Having implemented an organisation restructure during the past 12 months, the Board are currently undertaking a major review of governance structure to ensure the organisation remains fit for purpose and are keen to recruit Trustees with diverse skills, including business and strategic planning, financial and risk management, people development, marketing & communications including social media.

CAVA is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee.

The Role
As a Trustee of CAVA there is a need to demonstrate a strong commitment to the voluntary and community sector and to the development of the organisation. Trustees are collectively responsible for setting the strategic aims and objectives of the organisation; shaping and determining the organisation’s policies and policy direction in order to ensure it fulfils its charitable objectives; ensuring accountability to members and key stakeholders; delivering good governance and ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and financial regulations in accordance with Charity and Company law.
