The funding – which is open on a first come first served basis until the end of July, can help with current energy debts; help to repair or replace broken boilers and heating systems or financial support to top up an oil or LPG tank.
Applicants must have a combined gross household income of less than £30,000 a year, have no savings and live with someone who has a vulnerability – such as a long term health condition; pregnancy; free school meals etc.
The vulnerability list does have an element of discretion so it’s well worth applying if you think you might qualify.
